After working for several years as an illustrator for the press in France, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland, Alexandre Dujardin decided to develop his skills and artistic career and learn tattooing. Having found Unikat, he started to learn the hand poke technique (tattooing without machine) with Madame Unikat, which quickly became his new form of self expression. He is an "art activist" under all of its shapes, navigating constantly between its two ateliers: the Unikat tattoo studio as well as the Bethanien art center in the heart of Kreuzberg.
Seeking constantly to push the limits of his creativity, Densha is obsessed with details and finds fulfilment in the minutia brought into his work. He seeks inspiration in old engravings of botanicals, the imagery of alchemy and black magic as well as in children books.
