Ukrainian artist @ay_seed studied Journalism and Art Education in Poland where he also started tattooing before moving to Berlin in 2022.
Fascinated by the concept of individuality, for him tattoos are a unique expression of the inner self towards the outside world.
He loves combining motives, patterns and textures as much as just simple minimalistic forms.
His direct daily environment is his main and broad source of inspiration, diving into Nature and architecture, graffiti and fashion, people and cultural artefacts.
Ay_seed’s works embody the concept of duality : dirt and cleanliness, beauty and ugliness, chaos and order, ordinary and freaky.
Master of the hand poke technique, he is currently exploring the options that using a tattoo machine is bringing in order to combine both into a new kind of work.
He enjoys free hand drawing directly on the body, playing with forms, sizes and textures to create original pieces.
